Meet Stella!

In early December 2016, well December 4 to be exact…. Rick and I were sipping our coffee and talking about Gus. Gus had become such an important part of our family, and in our eyes the perfect dog. Rick was really interested in breeding Gus. I had purchased a book a month or so earlier on breeding Goldendoodles and read it along with just about anything I could find on the internet. Gus would be turning 1 on February 11 and we had started health testing Gus to ensure he was healthy enough to breed. We placed Gus on two different “Stud” sites, yes like dating sites for dogs! I received a couple messages of people interested in Gus as a sire for their female, unfortunately the interest came from people interested in a one time breed just for the experience, and they weren’t interested in health testing their dog. This had my husband and I talking about how serious and committed we both were to breeding and raising healthy Goldendoodles with good temperaments. We decided to welcome a Standard Poodle into our family… I mean Rick agreed to take a ride out to a local Poodle breeder and talk to her and think about adding a Standard Poodle. We left with Stella! She chose me, how could I leave without her?! Christmas came early for this fur mama!

Stella is the most graceful Poodle, we call her princess and she knows it! She is just so sweet, so very athletic, and incredibly smart! We all just adore her! She and Gus are inseparable, it is just adorable! Stella is now just over 7 months and we have started some of her health testing. Once Stella is a year old we will complete her health testing and as long as all is well we hope to breed her and Gus late 2017 or early 2018.
